A good while back I bought this small piece of scrap lycra fabric with supercute pink stripes from Skroten tyg in Kinna. I immediately started looking for swimsuit patterns. I bought the Opian swimsuit pattern and then I forgot about the whole thing.

This destash challenge has really inspired me and suddenly I wanted to make the swimsuit. I realised I had to break my own rule a little and buy lining since the striped fabric it is a little transparent and probably even worse when wet. The pattern did not use lining in the panties but I added it anyway.

I had to patch the striped fabric a little bit on the inside of the tie to make it work. Another garment from my destash challenge without any scrap fabric left!

I think the white lining gives a perfect crisp finish to the garment and I must say it was a very easy make. It is not my last swimsuit with this pattern!

And to be honest, I have white lining for another swimsuit and have laid eyes on a couple of fun fabrics that would do for another make... When the challenge is over of course and I am allowed to buy more fabric!
